Getting Started
Welcome to Octaprice. This guide will walk you through the onboarding process to begin tracking product prices efficiently.
Step 1: Selecting Your Data Source
Upon initiating the onboarding process, you have two primary options for selecting data sources:
- Popular Sources: Choose from our list of pre-defined popular eCommerce platforms.
- Own URLs: Input custom URLs specific to your tracking requirements.
Popular Sources
Select a source by clicking on the logo of a popular platform (e.g., Amazon, Target). This action automatically populates your dashboard with 30 URLs, and our system will extract product data from these URLs daily.
Own URLs
To track your own URLs, select from the following options:
- Product Pages: Directly input up to 30 specific product URLs.
- Category Pages (Available on paid plans): Track entire categories from a single domain.
- Full Site Tracking (Available on paid plans): Monitor all product listings from an entire domain.
For Category Pages or Full Site Tracking, you will be prompted to contact our team for a customized quote.
Netlocs
Please note that a netloc refers to the domain for a specific region. For example, amazon.com
differs from amazon.co.uk
. You may input up to 30 product URLs from the same netloc.
Step 2: Dashboard Initialization
After selecting a source or adding your own URLs, Octaprice begins populating your dashboard. This process may take up to 30 seconds as the system compiles and analyzes data.
Step 3: Data Availability
Your data will fully appear on the dashboard shortly. You will receive a notification once the setup is complete and the data is ready for review.
